I thought this was going to be about Tim Berners-Lee opposing it That would make my day
"Net founders" Google, Twitter and eBay... You've done it again, BBC. We should rename the BBC bot to "Misleading title generator", right?
This is actually winner worthy news in my opinion, piracy fucks shit up.

Poor 'muricans.
IMO, follow Wikipedia. Day of Darkness. Without Google the world will catch on fire.

The Search Engines should band up together and disable their websites if SOPA passes. It'd hold a huge amount of the nation hostage.
I wonder if google will do a wikipedia and black out everything, it'd send a very powerful message.
The music industry and the film industry? Do you mean those industries that make BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars every year, regardless of piracy? I can understand being frustrated with losing a few thousand in profits, but infringing upon human rights is not the way to go about solving your problems. Maybe they should work it so that people don't feel so compelled to pirate their shit? It's way too easy to be tempted to pirate shit if it isn't normally available in your area, or it's so outlandishly priced that you can't afford it.
This affects you too, you know?
How does this prevent Google from displaying "rogue sites" on their search engine outside of the US?
How does this prevent Google from displaying "rogue sites" on their search engine outside of the US?
Any servers being hosted in the US will be blocked to anyone outside of the US.(aka you)
Right, but that's not all of them, and Americans will also be prevented from visiting any rogue sites that aren't from the US. You guys get the full package.
