As the title states, anyone know where I could find a good one?
lol i3
In all honesty I don't have the time to do the research on this stuff. My only internet access is through my phone, and on top of that its been a long time since I've been able to keep up with all the new tech. I have no idea what is good or not anymore. I really just want something I can play starcraft 2 and deadspace 2 on high with :P
You can't really get a "good" i7 laptop with that budget, unless you don't mind Intel GMA and other low end parts
how about this one

I know it's not 15'', but it looks like a pretty good deal
If you want a 15'' laptop, I found this, but it's $100 over your budget, and it's an i5

Also, laptops with i7s have little battery life. Are you sure you would want to make such sacrifice?
Any reason why you NEED an i7 OP? An i5 should be more than enough for most things, especially for a laptop.

Great for gaming, and right at your $1,000 budget.
Well let's just put it this way, thanks to my last half a year of being in training I am now a computer retard. I just want a laptop that I can use (it'll be plugged in to an outlet 24/7 anyway) that I can play the new games on. The reason I'm choosing a laptop over a desktop is because I need to be mobile with being in the marine corps and what not. I want it to last me a good 4 years as well.
Well if you can muster some serious cash together, like a few grand... Get a Sager.

But you do realize that the battery life and heat output of these laptops are unbelievable, right?
Battery life doesn't really concern me all that much. I plan on using it as a psudodesktop. As for heat output I'm sure a cooling pad would resolve that

It is a preorder however. ETA is april

To be honest, most cooling pads doesn't really do much.
Well could someone show me a good laptop for what I'm looking for?

If you are in the UK, this site could help you order a CUSTOM BUILD for less than a grand.

I just checked that website.
If I was on the market for a nice laptop, I would want to live in the UK.
Also, OP, if you're going to use it as a mobile desktop, I'd look into a laptop meant to be a desktop replacement in that price range. You might just get lucky.
