I wasn't a big fan of Dark Souls 2 compared to the first. Does this fix things much, or not really? The screenshots aren't exactly impressive enough to fork out $30.

In the end it might turn out to be a better experience than the original game was at release but if you've already played it I don't think there is much point paying for it unless you are a huge fan.

Thank you.
Eh, I don't want to support this. It's splitting up an already small pool of players.
As someone who wasn't on the blind DS2 hate train but wasn't able to buy the DLCs that really improve the game a lot, this seems like a pretty good deal for me. Same price as buying the dlc anyway but I get extra stuff too. However my situation of owning the game and yet not any of the dlc is a rather specific one and I would guess that the majority aren't there, so it's not nearly as good a deal for everyone. Also the server splitting sucks. But hey. I will probably buy this for the new enemy placements and dx11 support along with actually getting all the dlcs which I was going to do anyway.
This is exactly why I didn't buy Dark Souls 2 on release. Always wait for the inevitable special edition a year or so after release that includes all the DLC and whatnot. I'll most likely pick it up during a sale, though since I don't have the money to just dish out $50 on a video game at the moment.
That's what I do with most games, if I know they will get a lot of DLC.
That was the issue with DS2 though, the director said before the game was released 'There will be no DLC'. And then 2 months after release they announced DLC.
I may as well get it rather than getting the DLC on the main game. Especially since almost everyone will be playing SOTFS now anyway.

Anyone know if the new enemy placement is good? I haven't played DS2 yet but I hear one of it's biggest problems is that the original enemy placement favors quantity over quality.
Welp I guess I'm sticking with the standard edition then.
I'm still disappointed that they haven't bothered to fix the 60 FPS glitches.
I'm still disappointed that they haven't bothered to fix the 60 FPS glitches.
the durability thing is really, really tiny but it's there, and rolling, who knows, I couldn't notice anything
