Except Ebay.
I looked at Gamestop and they have one for $250, which is the cheapest I've found so far.
Is there anywhere else that could sell a PS3 for cheaper than that?

Play around there, if you're willing to buy used you can get them dirt cheap and they'll still be good quality.
$250 is pretty fucking cheap.

My 80GB PS3 I got on release was $500 for fucks sake.
If you have some time, effort and dedication, you could always find a "Yellow Light of Death" PS3 around your local area. People usually charge about 100 dollars for a broken PS3, and you'll probably spend 20-30 dollars on the tools needed to fix it. Probably sounds stupid, but if you don't wanna spend much and you have time, this is your best bet.
If you decide to do this, refer to this video on fixing it.

First model sony fucked over customers by removing the PS2 guts. :argh:
I got a 40GB model off Ebay for £140, just take your time searching. Also it was buy it now.

How can i find one around my local area, go to everybody's door and ask? I don't think that's sane and it would waste alot of time.
What if the PS3 got the Yellow Light of Death that is caused by another problem than the one that is causing the PS3 in that video to have the yellow light?
Buying broken PS3 online isn't good. They can always rip you off because there might be physically broken things on the PS3.
Now, I'm talking about online buying btw. I can't just go to my local Gamestop store and say, "Hey got used PS3's for less than $200" response would probably be no.
McAfee. Lol.
But seriously, unless you have a friend that will sell you his for cheap, and I mean FUCKING CHEAP, you aren't gonna find a cheaper PS3 than on eBay.
The key? Always look at the feedback rating. I bought one just last week from CowBoom on eBay. It was the 60GB 1st-gen model for $242. Some go for cheaper, some more expensive. The key is auction sniping.
McAfee. Lol.

Really nice price. I got mine at launch but I saw 1st gen models going for 800-1200 a few months back it was crazy.

I'm getting $300 off of a guitar sale from craigslist. Tons of people use it, and you should use it for your PS3 if you want something lower than $250 (which is still very cheap).

Perfect condition and fully working exept for a few barely visible scratches on the front of it.
Could always steal one. Shoplifting isn't easy.
...Unless you're a stock clerk. :smug:

I went ahead and ignored McAfee's warnings and looked it up. Craigslist is pretty cool actually. You get to buy your items physically, not online where ppl can rip you off without you physically doing anything.
Still the stuff on Craigslist are pretty cheap but usually because they're either defective or broken.
Any decent, working consoles that i can buy that's less than 200? If all else fails, i might have to search Craigslist or make a post.
Amazon; used 40GB there's some for 150/175
