• Delayed Newegg ship, they won't respond to emails

I couldn't think of a correct forum section for this (has to do with Computers, but is a general Help Me question, not a Tech Support question), so I chose Fast Threads being the closest. I got a serious problem with Newegg. I ordered a 2GB stick of RAM last Wednesday. Was $45.99. I paid the highest shipping available, even the $3.00 for them to ship the same day (it was done before 12PM PST), which brought it up to $71.37. I wanted that stick ASAP. I waited two days. Newegg never responded with an Invoice email, a shipping email, or a "we're sorry, but we failed to ship it on the same day. As stated, we've refunded your $3.00 for fast shipping" email. So I emailed them, asking for answers. Saturday I finally got the Invoice and a FedEx Tracking email. But no refunded $3.00. I read on the site that it would be at my house by 10:30AM EST on Monday. It's now 11:21AM. No RAM stick yet. I checked the tracking info... and the only info about it is 'Shipment information sent to FedEx', which hasn't changed since last Friday. What the [i]FUCK[/i] is going on here?! Please. I need help. They won't respond to my emails, and I feel they just took the money and ran off with it. Is it because of the Christmas season or something? Why didn't they just tell me that shipping will be delayed?

Yes, I used Paypal. I usually do. Finally got ahold of them through their phone number. They still won't explain why it's taken this long to get one damn RAM stick to my front door, but said that FedEx needs 24 hours until I see an update. Or something like that. I'm guessing the reason there hasn't been an update since last Friday, is FedEx doesn't work on the weekends. Recession-blamed reason? Said it should come [i]some[/i] time today. If not, I have to file another delayed package claim. Ugh... I think I'm done doing business with Newegg. If it was because of the Christmas season, they didn't wanna say anything like "We're sorry for the delay. It is Christmastime and we're getting lots of orders."
They never ship on weekends. Also I think that shipments need to be in before 12 on Fridays to ship out that day and the order doesn't go through instantly, it takes a little while. Maybe you're right. The more I think about it, the more I think there's a good chance it'll show up by tomorrow or Wednesday. They didn't really ship it out until Friday night (though that doesn't explain why their latest info was done around 12:51PM Friday Afternoon). It hasn't been a full business day yet.
Yeah how they do their business is that newegg takes the information and processes it and bills then sends to order to a factory to send information to FedEx so the truck will pick it up upon its daily pickups. Once FedEx obtains the package at one of their warehouses, the information sent is processed once again to figure out shipping route, etc... It's quite a lengthy process they gotta put into little time. Since the shipping is done by FedEx not Newegg, newegg may say that you will receive it in one day, but really it's, "Hey, we'll send the order out to FedEx and IF they pick it up today (if you're not too late) you might receive it today." Just FYI, it's always better to take the regular 3-day shipping, much cheaper and I've always had it arrive on time, a few times it's arrived earlier.
