You didn't get the story in C2 then, the events that lead to the end of C2 [sp] when Alcatraz/Prophet jump on the alien pit and white powder thing spreads across Manhattan, it only destroyed the Ceph's grip in eastern seaboard (it's unclear if the Ceph are still in other places in north America) however in the epilogue entro you see a world map of Ceph hotspots around the world, since it's been apparently over 20 years since the events of crysis 2, it's likely that the ceph returned to New york.[/sp]

This is all speculation but it's the most plausible reasons..

yes it matters,and by graphics i mean everything from physics to shaders to post processing, these things have an impact on gameplay

Crysis 1 on CE3 would just get some foggy anti-aliasing and better lightning effects
