Now that I've got some funds, I'm looking to spend it on a new monitor for some extra quality in gaming/movies! Specs should include:
<150 euro's (200 dollars/140 pounds?)
<8MS response time, less is better.
At least 21 inch, more is better :smug:
Decent color, as little as possible color bleeding and other technical mumbo jumbo I don't know about :v:
Would be nice if you've got a place to buy it in the Netherlands, or close to that. Obviously it should be available in Europe.
Not sure about widescreen, 1080p/1080i/resolution. See earlier mumbo jumbo for details. Though would be nice for it to be explained to me.
It's primarily going to be used for gaming and a bit for movie watching.
Thanks, and happy holidays!
No one has a recommendation for me? I've been looking around, but I'd rather have some opinions thrown in first before I make any decisions.
Not sure about how 1080i works, but I know it means interlaced and is never used in computer monitors. 1080p is exactly the same as 1920x1080.
^A very nice find indeed. I was also looking at this (syncmaster E2220N): http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/256886/samsung-syncmaster-e2220n.html#tab:prices
Comments on both?

One more thing. Is the difference between VGA and DVI/HDMI important?

I have two identical monitors and one is VGA, the other is DVI. From what I can tell, there is no quality difference at 1920x1080
So higher than that there is a quality difference, or lower?
At any rate, comments on the Syncmaster VS the Philips one?
Small update: Found the Samsung P2250, which seems to have some great reviews. Anyone have some personal experiences with this or other quality screens?
