Bought it because I wanted to see what all of the buzz was about. The tutorial does not even work for me. My sprite doesn't load, and as soon as I start running with my invisible character it sends me back to the title screen. That's really lame because I'd like to know how to play this game. I tried playing single player and it was extraordinarily laggy for some reason. I was pretty bummed about wasting my money until I played the online, which for some reason was completely lag-free and a lot of fun. I would recommend this game but not at this price.

Nidhogg means "Malice Striker". It is also the name of a Norse dragon from myth.

IMO, the good looks really awesome and brings something different, which is something to praise (to our Lord Gaben) these days. At the moment I will not pick it up, but maybe around easter I'll.
For anyone stuck with euros, it's $12 on the Humble store and you'll get a Steam key.
I'd wait for it to go on sale, it's fun, but to actually quickly complete levels you just kill the enemy once, then try to just keep running through him to the next screen. I haven't tried the online function yet however.
It's said the game is meant to shine in local versus, but really the player with the most experience will always win imo.

The AI can do some stupid things at times and the matchmaking takes way too long to keep me interested, but damn is this game fun.
I know 15$ is a bit much, but I'm still having a blast with this game.
