Hello, a quick question.
Do anyone knows where to download DirectX 10? I have really searched everywhere on google, but no success.
If anyone could provide a link or something. I would really appriciate it.
Thank you for your time!
Chances are you already have it.
But if you want the runtimes here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en

It's the full offline installer, doesn't have to download anything during setup.
Enjoy.

uh those are just the dx9 runtimes (as you know ofc)
The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime provides updates to 9.0c and previous versions of DirectX — the core Windows® technology that drives high-speed multimedia and games on the PC.
but yeah vista sp1/windows7 already have dx10/11, you don't need updates or anything
if you're on xp, it is 100% impossible to get DX10/11 due to different driver models

p. sure that's also just DX9 updates
Ok Mr. Blunk. Go get the DX10EUR. I'll wait.
there is a hacky way to get dx10 on XP, but it's not supported and generally a bad idea

Yer, Unstable when in use on dx 10 games.

It's not DX10. All that 'hack' does is rename DX9 into DX10 on XP systems.
Which causes most DX10 games to explode, because it's trying to run DX10 features on DX9. Hence:

Really? Hah, I find that hilarious.

Just like how there's a hack to install Windows 8 on Windows 7.

And yeah, if you have Windows Vista (upgrade to) or Windows 7, you already have DX10/DX11.

seriously, Grow up!
that system was Up to date untill last september and it is still supported for another year.
If you have Win 7... you're 7 months and 4 days late. please get on the Microsoft internal pre-alpha of windows 8 or get the fuck out!

I agree.

This is a childish argument.
I'm sorry, but there's a difference between 7 months and NINE YEARS, pal.
And yet the two OSes are relatively comparable for most tasks.
Really, who cares? If it ain't broken don't fix it. Just pick up the improvements when you're forced to upgrade like I did.
Well... back on topic!
Before you go scouring the internet and downloading a bunch of shit, run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool first! (Start > Run > dxdiag)
That will tell you what version you're running.

If you have automatic updates activated, I think that updates DirectX for you.
OP just take your HDD out, and send it to me. I'll install it for you. :smug:
