• Computer sporadic with recognizing RAM.

Well if you remember a few days ago I posted a thread with the title "Test DRAM refresh?" Well I worked for about an hour and learned that one of my RAM cards were defective. I threw it out, and I preceeded to test each RAM card individually in the computer's "Debug Mode." All RAM cards passed through with flying colors. After installing all four RAM stick (I got a replacemnt from my garage) my computer again announced the same beep code, wouldn't recognize my RAM sticks. I again tested each individual RAM stick and my computer said they were all good. Puzzled I installed all four again and the computer beeped. Fed up I went to sleep as it was now 12:30 AM. I woke up this morning and for the hell of it I decided to turn my computer on, which to my suprise my computeer recognized the RAM cards and started up normally. I turned it off and turned it back on and the computer gave me the beep code again. I tried several times turning it off and on. Most of the time it would give me the beep code, but occaisionally it would work and the computer would start up normal. Now my question is I cant seem to figure out why it's been so random. I fear that my motherboard is damaged, and I don't want to buy a new one. Specs: Dell Precision 470 Windows Vista Ultimate x32bit HD 4850 1024mb 2 Intel Xeon Dual Processors clocked at 3.00Ghz. I'm posting this on my computer while its in debug mode. Also my computer works completly fine in debug mode but quite frankly I don't think I can play Mass Effect 2, Half-Life, or all my other games on just one stick of RAM.
