"Women and girls have largely been excluded from games culture − as players, makers and protagonists. Additionally, many of those who do participate in games have been publicly harassed both online and offline as exemplified by the ‘Gamergate’ hate campaign.
Looks like we have a 'Gamergate is a hate mob' article here. PCGamesN has really gone down hill.

Nothing here seems like it's obviously pushing some kind of agenda or opinions, it's just saying: "This thing exists and here are its goals."

The way DIGRA has behaved over the past two years on how they treated their own members and other devs has been alarming, and it is clear they don't have the best interests of actual industry in mind.
reporting =/= promoting Unless PCGamesN has had some big history with DIGRA that I don't know about then I don't see what's so wrong about the article.
My gameart university course was actually pretty much 50/50 boys and girls "Women and girls have largely been excluded from games culture − as players, makers and protagonists. Additionally, many of those who do participate in games have been publicly harassed both online and offline as exemplified by the ‘Gamergate’ hate campaign. This is the quote that annoyed me the most since most of the girls on the course were active gamers, a bunch even hung out playing dnd/old board games.
