• Keyboard and mouse randomly disconnecting by themselves

The keyboard and mouse keeps disconnecting as if I unplug them and then reconnects themselves after a second. It makes gaming literally impossible, and as I type this thread, It still does it. I tried uninstalling the usb ports and deactivating the "shut down power" in the device manager but it keeps happening. Actually, I think it's worse now. Rebooting doesn't help, plugging on other USB ports doesn't help, and trying other keyboard/mouse doesn't work. Finally, here's some of my specs: Win7 64 bits logitech g5 mouse BlueDiamond keyboard Corsair (can't find the box for more details) motherboard RAM: 8g processor: Intel Core i5-3570k 3.40ghz
Try running a linux live cd/usb to see if the problem only occurs in Windows
And if I don't have a Linux cd?
Do you not have a memory stick lying around or one you can borrow?
With Linux on it? no. Not everyone has a copy of Linux
You can do it yourself with any memory stick. It's easy and linux is free! www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
Actually I did some tests and I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard....I always had that problem, but I usually just switch USB port and it stops, but now it keeps going. It's an ASRock
Update your motherboard BIOS and ensure the usb connections are firmly attached from the usb hub to the motherboard. Otherwise you could try booting a live linux cd like djjkxbox360 said. Windows could just have bad default drivers for your motherboard's usbs. It could simply be helpful to debug. [editline]asf[/editline] It may also help to tell us all of your hardware (or in particular your power supply and GPU), this could also be an issue of using a bad powersupply.
