Removing windows 7 from a vista dual Boot: windows 7 installed before vista.

Blah blah Windows 7 R.C.
I installed it on a vista dual boot and later removed vista as an option to boot, at the time i forgot the R.C expires in 3 days from today. So I prep my computer and realize that im going to need to fix vista so i can boot it and uninstall 7 from vista, i do so.
I boot vista, go to the partitions and try to format the windows 7 partition so i can merge the two again and install 7 on a full HD. But according to microsoft support (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Uninstall-Windows-7-on-a-multiboot-system) the fact that vista was installed after means i can not delete the w7 partition. I figure that since everything of value on my computer is already backed up and on my external HD. I really have nothing to loose, i try to format it anyway but i get the error
"The attempted operation cannot be completed. This operation is not valid on volumes containing system partitions, boot partitions, or pagefiles"
So FP, what are my options if i have any?

i keep forgetting about that!
I used that several times for other things too.
But could it fuck up my computer if i do delete windows 7 with my problem?
I'm probably just going to forget about the partition and install windows 7 on the 200 gb partition and just leave the old w7 partition which is only like 25 gb.

Then he wouldn't have a bootloader.
@OP This may get complicated and hard to explain (I'm on XP) and going solely on memory.
1. Open Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc)
2. On the Vista Partition, right click and click "Set as Active Partition" (something like that)
3. Delete 7's partition.
4. Download EasyBCD
5. In EasyBCD click "Manage Bootloader", then "Reinstall Vista Bootloader", then "Write MBR"
6. In EasyBCD click "View Settings" and make sure everything looks right.
7. You should be good to go.
