Yet again my hopes of a new AAA star wars game have been crushed
These pinball games are the best of the best, though. Really really well made, and fun

They don't cancel high quality projects anymore. Disney licenses the rights out to developers they think can make a decent game (Anyone who pays.). It's a whole lot better than the LucasArts situation, where George Lucas would appear and turn a game into garbage by word alone.
The reason we never got a Battlefront III was because Lucas decided he didn't like the idea halfway into development, and started to rush the deadlines to cripple the project. We should be thankful we don't have to deal with that anymore.
I still want darker games and more Jedi Knight's and I would love a game taking place a way before KOTR either first Jedi's/ lightsabers

I don't remember the title or if it was good at all but there was some kinda novel where the jedi and sith still used swords , and set long before Kotor

You never know, DICE, Visceral Games, and BioWare are all working on new games.
DICE is working on Battlefront 4.
Bioware is probably making a RPG.
Visceral probably some sort of shooter.

There's also the chance that Visceral is working on 1313, it's the one star wars game everyone was looking forward to after Battlefront 2 that everyone was wanting to play , EA would be stupid to just act like 1313 didn't exist and not have a dev sooner or later develop it

They didn't cancel that. LucasArts canceled all in-progress projects when they sold to Disney, on their own terms. It's not Disney's fault.
