• Odd Computer freezing + Artifacts on Startup

Hey guys. Basically whats up is IF i am able to get my computer to actually load into winows, it will randomly freeze with odd pixilation artifacts on the screen, OR none at all, but it will freeze completely. Then when attempting to start it up, the motherboard screen is pixilated oddly, and the screen after that, but before the bios (ex. when trying to boot from a cd and it checks the boot drive) this screen is artifacted too. Tons of ! points are everywhere and the computer actually mispells "Boot From" to " boou Fnom" or something similar. Then the computer proceeds to start up, however the screen goes black shortly after windows has started loading in. Meaning I cant actually access windows. We moved my video card into a friends computer and his computer was fine for a moment, the drivers updated and he restarted, then he had the same problem, and proceeded to bluescreen. So I am certain its probably an issue with the card and the drivers... also after taking the card out from his computer it was insanely hot. My question... should I just get a new Video card? Its a 9800 Gt and I have graduation money... Or is this problem secretly something else? Thanks in advance!
Yeah that shit's dead. Never go by hot hot it feels to the touch in fact don't touch any components that could get warm at all you could regret it. It might be fixable by a professional but it's only a 9800 so head to the building forum and post specs and ask what you should get.
