I know shit about the 360, but I guess non branded hardware does not work?
I know shit about the 360, but I guess non branded hardware does not work?
You can use non-branded flash drives as long as the 360 deems it fast enough. Microsoft seems hell bent on blocking non branded hard drives though.
I don't play on consoles, but isn't that really small compared to PC games?
I don't play on consoles, but isn't that really small compared to PC games?
For consoles the whole game isn't installed, it's done via disks, for PC's it is installed. Not sure why the multiplayer needs 8GB though.
I don't play on consoles, but isn't that really small compared to PC games?
It is because consoles can only have 1/4 1/3 the texture resolutions of what pcs can.
I think the 8gb requirement is for future DLC and the Spartan Ops episodes. I could be wrong though.
awesome i sure do love how microsoft continues to fuck over launch 360 owners
my 16 gb usable hard drive will love this

My 360 came with a 60 gb hard drive. :v:

well considering how the standard for 360 consoles is like 60 (at launch, it's probably considered higher now with the 250 gig ones and such) i don't see why you're saying they're "fucking you over", let alone how you pretend that it's Microsoft's fault

no, one of the versions did
the common version was the 60gb one

Stop being a cheapass. It's your own fault. Buy a HDD and self flash if it's that big of a deal, or just overpay for a newer, bigger drive.
eh i'll just sell the 360.
it doesn't even have an hdmi port lol
no, one of the versions did

nope, launch xbox 360 over here was either one with the hdd (20gb) and without the hdd
nope, launch xbox 360 over here was either one with the hdd (20gb) and without the hdd
Then just buy a hard drive. It's not that big of a deal. I had to constantly uninstall/reinstall whenever I had one of the smaller harddrives and I bought a 120GB at gamestop for around $50 and it honestly has more space than I'll ever use.
Gotta get rid of that warehouse full of xbox 360 HDs before they reveal the 720.
With how much content is packed (Multiplayer, character models, Spartan Ops) it's not that much of a surprise
nope, launch xbox 360 over here was either one with the hdd (20gb) and without the hdd
regardless using the 16 gb harddrive from 7 years ago, when we're almost in the next gen and not expecting a problem at some point is ridiculous
no, one of the versions did

Actually the Launch version 360's came with a 20 GB HDD, the 60 GIG HDD didn't come into play until 08

The Halo games have a history of this for some reason. For a while I had one of those 4GB Xbox's, and I couldn't play co-op campaign (over the internet anyway) or look at the file share without an actual hard drive.
I don't entirely understand why they do this, but yeah. Not really surprising.

Please explain how improving the load time of Halo 4 fucking over launch 360 users?
waah I bought my 360 7 years and 4 revisions ago and the original hard drive will fit my game but only barely
not like I can spend $30 to get a bigger one or anything

Or you could just.... upgrade. Why the fucking hell should Microsoft limit themself because some people refuse/haven't upgraded?
Developers should never consider cheap/lazy people when making new games/softwares.
It's like those who still have XP that complains over DX10/11 only games, come the fuck on already.
I thought it was going to be on PC for a second
I was already worried about my hard drive space before getting Halo 4. I might have some problems.
Mine does, with launch model Xbox
Then you don't have an launch model Xbox. 2007 was when they included HDMI ports in the Xbox pro models.

For fuck sake it's been 7 years don't expect to continue being catered to. It's not that hard to buy a bigger hard drive.
welp, I guess I won't be playing Halo 4 multiplayer
I only have a 12 gig hardrive

What? There is no such thing as a 12 gig hardware on the Xbox. Unless you are talking about a flashdrive. Besides is it that fucking hard to buy a 5 dollar 10 gb flashdrive?
