So anyways, we all know that its a growing concern, blah blah blah, technically, wtf is it? How does it happen and how is it resolved? In all honesty, more and more people get hooked on games and etc. on the internet with all the new upcoming games and releases, but really, is it worth all the time spent and "wasted" on it?
I read just finished reading stuff about some kid getting hooked on the internet and getting some "capital punishment" from his mom and lol'd. This, however, interested me, so I though I'd make a post about it. What do you guys think. herp derp.

Get older
"In 2005, Seungseob Lee visited an Internet cafe in the city of Taegu and played StarCraft almost continuously for fifty hours. He went into cardiac arrest, and died at a local hospital. A friend reported: "...he was a game addict. We all knew about it. He couldn't stop himself." About six weeks before his death, his girlfriend, also an avid gamer, broke up with him, and he had been fired from his job for repeated tardiness."

In Jacksonville, Florida, Alexandra Tobias pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for shaking her baby to death. She told investigators that the baby boy's crying had interrupted her while she was playing a Facebook game called FarmVille. She was sentenced in December 2010.
I think it's too easy NOT to be addicted to gaming. There's an entire world out there.
I think gaming addiction is a stupid term. People just like to play games. They aren't causing any real harm as long as you go outside, and eat healthy
it's proven that it doesn't exist.
I don't feel like a gaming addict even if i'd play 18 hours a day, because i know i can just walk away and not care too much about it.
It's just incredibly fun and a good way of wasting spare time.
I can't stand people who think that it's some form of habit, especially when they try to use something they read on shit like the Daily Mail as evidence to back up their argument.

But in my computer THERE'S HUNDREDS OF THEM
My family think I'm a gaming addict. My dad's cool about it, whenever I go to see him we play Minecraft on his laptop :v:
Bullshit phantom disorder to explain uncommon bahavior of young adults and children to people who don't understand the concept of fun wich will likely boost interest some obscure type of treatment, but above all, make you realize that you are a very unhealthy, troubled individual and that you should constantly think about how troubled and unhealthy you are and that the best way to do this is in fact to keep your head down, shut the fuck up and live your pathetic, worthless life as miserable as possible, spending money on therapy and pills and that you should propably die quickly before you become an inconvenience to society.
Now step back in line. Thank you - Media
People see me as a gaming addict; Family members and my other "Gaming addicted" friends but I do not see myself as a addict but instead as a person who loves playing games. I have always loved playing games as it is a time waster and something to do when you have nothing else to do. Its practically similar to asking the question about Television "addicts".
I'm battling a long lasting addiction to oxygen and pooping.
Anyone whos addicted to a video game is pathetic.
Brb smoke break.
I will not disagree that it exists, but some people (Mainly older folks) think that playing a lot of games = gaming addiction.
I like to play video games (alot). People often tell me to do something else but gaming and I ask them "what should I do with my spare time then?".
"Well I dont know man. As long as its not gaming. You could watch TV."
"Yeah... right... I rather read a book than watch that dragon drop shit someone call entertainment."
It's just like any other addiction to media. Takes up time, you're obsessed with it, ect.
No different than movie, music, or porn addiction.
