Looks suprisingly a lot like battlefield 3.
In other words, not really suprising at all.
It's a real shame what battlefield has turned into. :/

Though this is SP, maybe MP will have something new and have less buttfrustration.

What did it turn into? One of the best looking games on the market?
Plus, all the basics from Battlefield 2(for example) are still there.

It turned into a "CoD killer"

People are, for some bewildering reason, just now picking up on DICE's tendency to refine rather than innovate.

I'd rather they innovate with every sequel, then refine it with patches. Though maybe that's just me, not sure.
It does look like BF3, but in the same time, it looks much better than BF3. Let's just hope you will be able to do naval battles in multiplayer and completely destroy every building, not just specific 5-6 on whole map(Strike at Karkand for example).
those animations are PRETTY
elevators! hinds! rooftops! CHOPPER BLADES, BUILDING FALLING
aaaaaa [sp]amputation[/sp] aaaaaa
[sp]they weren't in a super special submarine they were in a van![/sp]
they really cranked up the woohoo knob on that theme song
I like the animations but just like most of the military games coming out these days I don't think I'll be purchasing it. This is probably really petty of me but I'm just tired of playing Generic American Soldier X.

omg no please
no more 6 gb patches of nothing
omg no please

But they have to fix the broken nothing in the middle of nowhere
is it just me or are those character animations amazing
Did bf2 have weapon unlocks?
Did bf2 have weapon unlocks?
Every class had a single unlockable weapon and you got an unlock point after certain ranks. Special Forces added an additional weapon for each class and you gained two unlock points per rank.
Shame Half-Life games were made when this level of detail wasn't possible.
OMAAAR'S COMING YO
Looks cool everything scripted lol
Sometimes I enjoy a simple "runthrough" game, so I could see myself having fun with this fordestruction and animation quality pretty much.
Keeping the focus on one squad is pretty cool, but trying to give the player feels by forcing them to cut the guy's leg and get him killed in the
van is kind of dumb when there's achievements and challenge messages popping up.
All in all, it's pretty okay until you get to the "Lean backwards out of a speeding car and shoot a helicopter with a grenade launcher" part. That's just dumb.
Hopefully multiplayer is good.

They have to do 6GB of patches since they patch each major file archive. They explained that, even if it's a simple change they have to swap the entire file.
i like the HUD
[editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
why is almost every round a tracer? i SERIOUSLY hope it's not that way in the MP
the guns sound tasty
Looks Ok, but I've never played bf3
there is no better way of describing this gameplay as just saying generic.
Shame Half-Life games were made when this level of detail wasn't possible.
Why? Most source games these days look no different to the ones they made in 2007, the source engine has barely advanced at all if I'm honest

Today's gamer public wouldn't like HL1 if it was released out of the blue. Too slow paced for all the cowwaduddybros, it would never reach the superb legendary status it's regarded as nowadays.

Also, people disassociate exploration and fps nowadays. What gives?
On topic: Another nail in the BF coffin as far as I'm concerned. :(
seems like theyre putting a concentrated effort to put women into the game.
The black squaddie is voice acted by omar from the wire isn't he?
This seems really fucking ballsy after what happened with Warfighter. They should just put the focus on the multiplayer where DICE's strengths are instead of parading out the overly scripted mediocre singleplayer campaign.
Meh.
Also, another gameplay reveal with robotic movements played on the 360 controller.

Scrounging for medkits and ammo would blow Battlefield players minds.
