Hello, I'm having a problem with the wireless network at the house I'm staying at for uni. We started out with the router provided by the ISP (Talk Talk) but we were having issues where the connection would work sometimes but not others. It would say you were connected to the access point but you couldn't connect to any sites or even the router at 192.168.1.1 (can't access via http or by pinging) So I thought if it was a problem with the line then I'd still be able to at least connect to the router, right? So I came to the conclusion that it must be a problem with the router and I installed a new one (with all of the settings provided on the talk talk site) http://www.ebuyer.com/113934-zoom-x6-wireless-g-adsl-modem-router-5690-72-00ag Now it worked fine for a few days, but it's doing exactly the same thing as the last one. I don't understand why this is happening. If it was a problem with the line then why can't I connect to the router? When I have the problems it can even make my mouse freeze and my sound stutter. And all of the computers in the house are having problems. I've tried changing the channel to different values and we are using WPA2 encryption. I really need help with this :(
Uni network. Dont you need a login or some sort? Or can you ask the IT desk there?
Uni network. Dont you need a login or some sort? Or can you ask the IT desk there?
What? I'm not staying in the university, I'm staying in a house nearby. The internet is not provided by the university, it's provided by TalkTalk.
