The series is fantastic. The character portraits and voice acting is comedy.

If you enjoy beating off the Kha'ak than go for it.

Amazing games once you get past the quirks of the menus. They're slow paced, but have grand scale.

By the way, people that own the X-Superbox will be receiving the expansion for free. Just need to wait for STEAM to catch up.
X3 is amazing. Extremely fun if you have a flight stick(I use this one)

Extremely immersive and a lot of fun.
I really want to like X3 but I'm too impatient.

And I can say too that it is more immersive, I almost feel like fucking Luke Skywalker sometimes.

It's the alienware of joysticks, but the split column/throttle system really helps. The mass of buttons too.
And on topic, I'm surprised this one's out already. I could swear Albion Prelude wasn't due until December 20th-ish.

I'd be lying if I said that wasn't exactly what it is. Because it is. But it do.

The X52 is what I use in my other simulators, but since the X-universe games are so mouse and keyboard heavy, I don't bother to use it.
It's hardly the most expensive joystick, though. Real jet replica joysticks are even more expensive, as are the Saitek Flight Simulator equipment (full set is like $1000)
