Please no, far cry 2 was trash. Brown everywhere and you couldn't even explore the brown without having cancer spasms and aks jamming all the time piece of shit attempt at being realistic.

Far Cry 2 was good shit :ok::ok: If I had to pick between 2 or 3 I'd pick the fuck out of 2.
I ought to replay Far Cry 2 some time. I remember it having a few neat ideas, but the execution tended to fall on its face more often then not. Maybe on another playthrough I'll rethink all this.
Far cry 2 makes me sad cause it had so many really fun ideas, like the buddy system! But then they fucked it up

I love how all your buddies stab you in the back at the end, that was great. Sidenote: Clint was was the project lead on Chaos Theory, which was the best game in that series too.

They should make a new Far Cry or series in the spirit of Far Cry 2. Africa, the warlords and the mercenary setting had a ton of potential, would be neat if they revisited their ideas and fixed them. Assassin's Creed 1 was frickin' flawed and repetitive just like Far Cry 2 but they stuck with it and we got AC2.
Far Cry 2 was fucking cool, the setting was awesome, the animations, medical and weapon condition systems were neat as fuck, and it was just nice. What let it down was the fact that everyone was out to get you and each shirtless african was like a tank. If you have Far Cry 2 I recommend you try it with dylans mod which fixes up the weapon damage and stealth system, the game feels 100 times better and more playable with it
don't know if you guys know this but he also directed the first 3 splinter cell games. He'll be good for Ubisoft, I say.

No proper stealth system, enemies see you the moment you shoot no matter how far away you are, malaria, fast respawning camps, spongy enemies, constant wave of unavoidable jeeps,.. Far Cry 3 is a much better game
Please no, far cry 2 was trash.
Far Cry 2 was good shit :ok::ok: If I had to pick between 2 or 3 I'd pick the fuck out of 2.
What was the story in Far Cry 2, besides that Jackal guy?
Far Cry 2 was pretty cool, never made it past 10 missions because of the weird ass fucking way they deal with movement and shooting in this game, but I loved the overall atmosphere and grass graphics.
Best part of FC2
Same old opinion of FC2, i even replayed it not that long ago to see if i still felt the same and i do. The initial story was great 'hunt down a weapons dealer', some very interesting game play ideas too i had a blast taking down convoys, but overall it was a monumental let down. I have played worse games, i have played games that have been more of a let down too but FC2 still missed the mark. There was a fantastic game there which was hidden under a mountain of malaria pills.

They could have done some really tight setting building, but through a combination of laziness and fear of offense, the unnamed African country is just a bland diorama of "Africa stuff" devoid of any history, culture, or people to call its own. The setting is a condescending cliche of Africa that's used to thematically support a condescending cliche of Africa(that it's all an irredeemable shitshow).
What was the story in Far Cry 2, besides that Jackal guy?
Not much else, except for you being mainly responsible of destabilizing the country and Reuben being a journalist at a bar. I stiĺl liked it more than saving those SoCal non-characters in FC3 and it's shit shit shit sidequests with mono audio voice-acting.
After Far Cry 3 and 4 sort of mulled together with, 'bland protagonist gets himself in deep shit by bad luck, joins local rebels after escaping, fucks shit up' and the traditional Ubisoft style they have going now for open-world games, I wouldn't mind something more in the vein of Far Cry 2 so long as the gameplay's actually balanced and the world has more to it than just endless dirt roads and enemy checkpoints everywhere with magic, all-knowing AI.
