• Windows Torrent client

So I've used uTorrent for about 9 years, for the last 3-3.5 of them I downgraded to 1.8.2 and enjoyed an ad-free lightweight client. It had it's issues, like breaking the resume file and losing the download progress - but it was manageable. About 6 months ago, however, I had to switch to another client. I found a torrent file that crashed uTorrent 1.8.2. It wasn't about the unicode download target, it wasn't about an overly huge torrent, I tried it on different PCs and OSs, it crashed every single time, while Transmission on Ubuntu worked fine. So I started searching for a replacement and stopped on Deluge, couldn't really find anything else that I liked. Deluge is pretty weird though. It can't autostart (I created a task so it does, but still) When you download a section of a torrent that contains parts of different files, instead of creating a single file that contains this data, so you can seed normally; you get a bunch of junk files that you never chose to download, and it's pretty confusing - I often have to manually look up which files I originally chose to download, then open the download folder and search for that file, since there's like 15 extra files I don't need. It seems to be RAM hungry, but I'm not quite sure yet. It's Java based, so I guess that would make sense? So my question is, what are some other good Windows torrent clients? Thanks in advance
Use QBitTorrent; free, open-source, lightweight.
You've already touched on Deluge, it's what I've used most. There's also halite and qbittorrent that are good.
My favorite torrent client is Transmission, but it doesn't have a native Windows client  so on Windows I use qBittorrent.
Qbittorrent.
utorrent 2.2.1 was crashing from a magnet link at some point so I moved to Deluge which is a good replacement.
Either Qbittorrent or Deluge. I use the former, but I admire the latter, as its sleek and fast. Transmission is my favourite by far, but that works best on Linux IIRC.

uTorrent 2.2.1 for life
I also recommend deluge Cool water based torrent very good for environment

[t]http://servmon.ru/screenshots/2017/11/transgui_2017-11-12_16-25-08_D2keisye5K.png[/t]
I share the sentiment most people here mentioned - I love transmission, too bad the windows port team seems to have dropped the project a long time ago. I too use the remote functionality. The only weird thing about transmission is it's permission quirks. I have a Linux media server running it, and I have to mark all my film folders, tv show folders as owned by the transmission daemon, otherwise it won't download. Even if I mark them as 777

2.92 is available for windows and all of the latest commits are being automatically compiled for windows. No idea how stable it is though.
i use bittorrent. its how i got gmod so i love it
i've used Tixati ever since utorrent went to shit with ads a long time ago, its pretty great
uTorrent 2.2.1 for life
I've been sticking with 2.2.1 forever now also, it's ridicoulus, having to use such an old version, but frankly it's the best version of µtorrent. recent editions are bloated with commercials, and i recall having performance issues also, plus the controversy whether they included bitcoin miners unknowingly.
