The novelty wore off on this a week after it was released, can't see it ever gaining its initial popularity.
The game being too full of shit is the entire reason I barely play it anymore. Since anyone not in a city can still just fuck off apparently, and since finding pokemon is essentially random unless you cheat, it's basically the shittiest pedometer ever.

Despite people claiming that it's literally dead, it still has more players than any other free to play game, especially free to play mobile games. My point is that nobody should be surprised if a game loses some players months after launch, regardless of how initially popular it is.
