• Software center is not working in Ubuntu

Recently whenever I try to open the Ubuntu Software Center it starts up, except it's a blank gray screen. I also can't do any apt-gets, the package manager is still working though. I have changed nothing recently and I can't think of anything that could be the matter. This error comes up when I try to apt-get anything "E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?"
nevermind guys, after updating and rebooting it seems to be fixed.
