So I think I've got what I'll be ordering, but would like someone to check over my parts, and tell me if I've gotten parts that won't fit, or that there are better alternatives to; I'm getting everything from pccasegear.com Corsair CMX16GX3M4A1600C9 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 CoolerMaster CM Storm Scout 2 Gunmetal Grey ASUS P8Z77-V LK Motherboard Samsung SH-224BB/BEBS SATA DVDRW Drive OEM Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001 Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1 OEM Corsair HX-650 V2 80 PLUS Gold Power Supply Intel Core i5 3570K Gigabyte Radeon HD7950 3GB Overclocked Another question, how difficult would it be to run two PC's from the same monitor, like how a TV works, where you can switch between things plugged in.
AsRock Z77 Extreme 4 should be a cheaper alternative and performs just as fine. (Around $145 MSY) Also do you really need 16gb of ram? If you are just gaming then 8gb with be ample enough. In regards to 2 PCs of the same, monitor it should be fairly simple just plug them both in (assuming it has 2 inputs, which it should) and switch the source from your monitor to which ever output you have to what ever pc it is connected to
Cut the case down (-$5): http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18722 Cut the RAM down (-$45): http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18373 Alternate mobo (-$15): http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19867 Brings the cost down to $1213.
