Thought I would make as a thread since I'm interested in knowing what types of dogs people here like the most! Pictures are both welcome and encouraged.

I've had one similar to this for a good 9 years. Never seen him once get aggressive towards other people. Living in the country is a plus, big bastard will go out and hunt yard pests at night.

I don't like the "pedigree" ones with the ridiculously low sloping back.
Problem is I could never own either of these dogs, they'd probably eat me. I grew up with a german shepherd though he was one of my best friends, he was the same age as me! But then he died at only five years old from some rare disease thing :(

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the best dogs are labs, hands down. I have one right now, and he's getting old. I still remember the first few days when we had him, he started to drink my mom's iced tea right out of her cup. It was the most adorable thing.

Floppy ears.
German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, etc. If I had my own place and could afford a dog I'd definitely get a German Shepherd.

my family owns a lab and australian shepherd, and before that a mix of the two.

I love Bassett Hounds. Only dog I ever had and my parents had three. They go well with my more relaxed attitude I figure, and they look damn cute too. They don't like rabbits though.

Had one growing up, nicest dog in the world. Whenever we got any food in a car ride, she would really politely wait in the back seat hoping for a treat, and would really quietly bark to remind you she was back there. Only food she immediately begged for was beef jerky. Great home-friendly guard dog too, they are really alert and notice when people pull up to the house, and bark enough to let you know, but once you let the person in they are really friendly.
Also they don't shed.
