Shame I totally suck at it and no one wants to play with low levels.
Awesome game. It's like the more standard version (compared to other rts games) of ruse.
I'm not actually that terrible at the game but I stopped playing around rank 20-30 or something like that because of various reasons: 1)Very strict effective army formats (last time I played you took Heavy tanks and ATGM spam or you died, some extremely fun tactics at low levels become impossible to pull off as your opponents have every possible counter measure in place.) 2)Community is generally a crock of shit. Teamwork is pleasantly common but sometimes not so pleasant when rank 50 dicks take control of the team and bitch at you constantly. 3)High level games devolve into "stand back, wait for your enemy to come to you or for him to screw up" and 1v1's are so full of tension you feel like you're about to have a heart attack. When it comes down to pulling off the most daring of tactics and annihilating your enemy this game is by far the best game to me that has ever emulated that feeling. Things like having hidden units and groups inside forests, waiting for your enemy to get close and then blasting the crap out of them with heavily fusillades of fire, or managing to pull this off: Basically, the last survivor of an elite Russian VDV team that had been airlifted in behind enemy lines and witnessed the death of his 19 other comrades sneaked past trickles of enemy troops and reached the most important vehicle in the game, consequently proceeding to destroy it with a single RPG shot just before he died to AA cannon fire. The important vehicle in question is the Command Vehicle, allowing him to call in reinforcements from that territory and control it for points. They're also the most expensive vehicles (they're worth about 100 Czech Motostrelki in transports, or 20 squads) and upon killing all of them your team wins the game, like the golden snitch of each map you can plot to exterminate. Shortly after that screenshot was taken I ambushed their only other CV as it drove past an industrial building with hidden infantry.
