I'm upgrading my shit laptop gfx card. What's a good recommended GeForce card that can run Fallout 3 and L4D with ease, not bare minimum, and where can I get it and install it? Oh yeah, and tell me the name of the card.
Laptop GFX cards cannot be upgraded.
Well, I can find a way around that, I know a friend who did upgrade his.
Laptop GFX cards cannot be upgraded.
Most likely not, the OP seems to be a nvidia fanboy also. [editline]02:47AM[/editline]
Well, I can find a way around that, I know a friend who did upgrade his.
No you can't. :downs:
and nVidia isn't the only option tempted to call troll already
It's the recommended, I've heard good things about it.. I'll look into the upgrading part.
good luck there seeing as it's physically impossible
Well, I can find a way around that, I know a friend who did upgrade his.
very few do and most are highend, my ASUS G50 will upgrade, but for what you pay would may as well upgrade a desktop [editline]10:55PM[/editline] the probably upgraded the ram and cpu
I don't have a desktop... (Gee, thanks for shopping at office depot, 'rents.)
You're outta luck dude.
Damnit.
You can't buy laptop gfx cards firstly. On the off chance your friend was bullshitting you. You need to buy a new laptop for better graphics. You may only upgrade the harddrive and the ram on a laptop.
Dang...I really need this. Intel Express 4 Series is NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Update: I recently got a call from my cousin's father who works in computer engineering (you really shouls se this), and he says to give him the model to see if he can do something about it. Waiting for reply.
You may only upgrade the harddrive and the ram on a laptop.
And the processor.

sure, let me slam a 280m SLI into your tiny laptop of yours.
I don't have a desktop... (Gee, thanks for shopping at office depot, 'rents.)
for 400 you can get a good desktop
it's also not one of those small travel desktops, I've got a $900 ok laptop. It's even got a number pad, :D. I can run Crysis if it wasn't for the graphics/video card.

This will work and it will fit your case too perfect size. http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5870/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5870-overview.aspx
Well, I just got the email from my cousin's father - The model isn't upgradeable. And, fuck off. It's not like I have enough money to go out and get a desktop. If I did, I would.
Gaming laptops are more expensive than Gaming desktops generally.
They've told you lots of times now THAT YOUR GPU IS NOT FUCKING UPGRADABLE, what more do you want, either buy a desktop/new laptop or shut up and stop whining.

you got a $900 laptop with intel graphics? the shop must have been partying after you left if anyone's stupid enough to get you half the price you paid for it, you could easily get a game-worthy desktop
Laptops are more expensive than desktops generally.
Fix'd. If you want to do any serious gaming, get a desktop.
You do know that 'running Crysis' is not defined as full resolution with everything maxed out?
Well, I can find a way around that, I know a friend who did upgrade his.
You're really gullible to believe that.
There are a select VERY few laptops with upgradable GPUs, but odds are if you're running with Intel graphics, your laptop is not one of them.
