His design reminds me of the Strogg from Quake
I wonder if they're going to add a new boss in with each map pack.
This game is going to be the shit
Was that a gun that launches sawblades I saw in that video?
Was that a gun that launches sawblades I saw in that video?
It works like a chainsaw. And like the Gravity gun with Saw Blades. And you can go and pick up sawblades you fired so you can use them again and again
I just figured out the saw launcher is identical to the ripper from ut99
when it comes to combat fps games, Killing Floor has the best bosses
when it comes to combat fps games, Killing Floor has the best bosses
The first KF has 1 boss and he was more odd than good or bad.
when it comes to combat fps games, Killing Floor has the best bosses
Eh.. what? Killing floor 1 had one boss.. And he kinda bugged a lot.

Even more so than most "bosses" or endstates of games in the similar vein. Most fps games try to get around bosses by having a setpiece stage that requires non-combat mechanics, bullet sponge a la Borderlands 1, or opting out the boss and placing in a horde of normal enemies instead. I liked how it was for KF, just one big, bad dude. For some reason thought there were multiple boss types too, maybe I'm just hoping to see that in this installment.

To be fair, The Patriarch was a pretty fun boss fight and had a few cool little mechanics tied to him. I think he could serve as an example to FPS designers of half decent bosses. Plus add level design into the scenario, something KF could never really do with The Patriarch and you could do even better without much difficulty.

I'd assume one is the Patriarch remade so maybe there is one completely new one we haven't seen.
So we can assume The Patriarch is dead? Regardless, I love the idea of getting one of a selection of bosses. Adds a nice panicky dynamic to it until you first see them.

The former is a tough enemy, the latter is an actual boss fight.
The new boss isn't too hard to kill but he's a fun fight for sure. It took me and a few others 10 mins to kill him because he's pretty fucking fast.
imagine if they had 6 bosses total all of which you have to fight at the same time if it's in the hardest mode
i have yet to kill this guy in KF2 beta hes retardedly hard for me for some reason, even if im in a group of like 6-7 people he kills us all somehow.
