• Cheap slow-mo cameras?

Hey, I'm looking into getting me a slow motion camera, but they all seem rather expensive (+$1000) Is there cheap ones in a normal price glass ($200 - $300'ish) that aren't bad?
Here you go. 600 FPS http://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-VPC-FH1A-Video-Digital-Photos/dp/B002Q4VC9G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1278635460&sr=1-1

At 600FPS it will drop the resolution to 192x108. That might be ok depending on what you're doing but if the rest of your footage is high definition you're going to have a hard time editing it in with the super low resolution of the high FPS footage and having it look nice. Just something to keep in mind.
http://exilim.casio.com/ Point and shoots with high fps recordings. In anything sub $2,500 you will have a serious resolution issue at extremely high frame rates. Still the Exilim series by Casio are really nice if you want to do some non-serious work.
Cheap High Speed cameras? No such beast.

I was thinking more in the area of 480p and above. What's the cheapest slow-mo camera (200fps and above) that supports 480p?

Casio Exilim EX-F1 is pretty much the best handheld one, and 1000$ isn't that much for a camera like that. I have the camera, and it's incredible. It does shoot 600fps at a reasonable resolution , and you can go up to 1200fps. (432 x 192) Here's some of my videos, sorry for the shitty .GIF quality: 22MB, click to open
you need to link to those because I can't even see them for nearly a full minute
http://www.exilim.com/intl/ex_f1/features2.html It can also videotape in 1920 x 1080 @ 60fps. [editline]06:27PM[/editline]
you need to link to those because I can't even see them for nearly a full minute
I'll link the uppoer one, it's 22mb.

What resolutions does it support at 600fps?
432 x 192, which is okay. (I realize that I wrote 432 x 192 after 1200fps, it's a mistake though, 1200fps = 336 x 96) I always use 300 or 600fps, as 1200fps requires a lot of light and doesn't feature very good quality. [editline]08:20PM[/editline] Here's a video I made, as you can see the quality is good when I use 600FPS.
I think you mean high speed camera.
I honestly couldn't care less what it's called. MP3 is music, yet people call them MP3's, and USB's instead of flash drives, but you don't see people complaining.
and USB's instead of flash drives
What. The correct term is flash drive. I know exactly 0 people who call a flash drive a USB but I would probably call them an idiot if they did.

If i ask anyone what a flash drive is, i probably would've gotten the answer "a what?" most of the time. Everyone here calls it a "USB" or a "Memory stick".
I have a Casio Exilim EX-FH20. It shoots up to 1000fps (but the higher the frame rate, the shittier the resolution). It's only like $250 on amazon. It looks fine on 210fps though. That's pretty cool, but so far I'm keeping an eye on the EX-F1 because of it's resolution at 1200fps, as i'll one of the things i'll be recording is a BB doing around 100 meters/sec, so that's 12 frames per meter, which is still very fast but I can live with it.

It's still watchable, but it's just bad. On my EX-FH20, the 1000fps res is okay, but it's nowhere near as good as something you'd see on TV or in a movie. I'm going to assume the same applies to the EX-FH1.
It's a 336 x 96 resolution at 1200fps, however I am willing to pay a grand if I can reach 480p or even 720p resolutions at that framerate. The cheaper the better though, and 480p would be more than enough.

I'm an asshole who can never stomach it when people call things by something other than their name (iTouch really gets me going), and I've never even heard of someone calling a flash drive a USB/memory stick, and I find memory stick partially acceptable because that literally is what a flash drive is: a stick of solid-state memory.
