Ok so i have this old computer that has windows 2k (had for 4-5 years) and has 2 hard drives.
I installed windows xp on the other hard drive, but when doing so (the hard drive had like 30gigs free room and 70 or so used) the hard drive somehow lost 80gigs of itself and only has 20gigs of space on it (its a hard drive that i bought and added later to the computer).
Does anyone know how do i unlock the lost 80gigs of it?
Reformat?
You messed up the partitions. Check Administrative tools > Computer management > Disk management to be sure. You can either use partition magic to do it or re-install windows. It sounds like you didn't delete the old data partition before installing windows or you selected to only use free space instead of the whole drive.
If the old partition is NTFS or FAT32 (which it should be since your old OS was Win2k) you should be able to just assign it a drive letter using the disk management.
