• Possibly installed OS on wrong hard drive....

Hey guys I just finished building my computer and I installed the OS on the SSD and not the hard drive, I was reading my motherboard manual where you enable raid mode using intel smart response technology. Should I use this and if so is it possible to restart the operating system install. If this is not necessary than how do I get my hard drive to show up under my computer? All I see right now is my SSD but when I was installing my operating system I saw my hard drive so I assume its connected. Thanks. [editline]25th June 2011[/editline] I am just going to leave the OS installed on the SSD. I got my hard drive working and its running really good so I think everything is fine :D
Why wouldn't you want to install the OS on the SSD ?
Think he means Intel Smart Response Technologie. Maybe you can use a small partition of your SSD to still use the SRT while you leave your OS installed on another partition on your SSD. If this is possible though, im not sure.
I was told it is better to installed the OS on the SSD because the computer starts up much faster... My computer is running great right now so unless it is necessary I don't really want to mess with it.
Yes, i think the SSD would still outperform a normal harddrive supported by the smart response with the SSD. I meant that you could keep your OS on the SSD and then use another partition of the SSD to support your regular hard drive. But as i've said, i'm not sure this is even possible.
