Urgent Question: Can someone find out my address via serial number?

More info on the question: So I recently traded one of my TVs. Not gonna get into much detail. But I was wondering, even if we didn't purchase a warranty on the TV, is there a way that the new owner of the TV can use the serial number to track down my address or other information? I am just uncomfortable with the knowledge of someone having an ability to hunt me down if he/she chooses to. Only curious and would appreciate all answers!
More importantly: I just want to know if it is something I should be worried about. Would appreciate effective and/or quick responses! Thanks!
Did you give your address at the time of purchase of the original TV, if not don't worry.
Fuck it don't worry anyway.
I do not recall if I did or did not since this TV is about 3 years old now. Just can't really trust some people these days you know? What if that guy just decides to look up the serial and hunt me down for more stuff and etc.?
I believe I had to provide some information in order for it to be shipped to the store. But that is it.
I appreciate the answer, but I shall look for some more. Thanks
Sounds like you sold a broken TV to someone and you're scared of the consequences.
but unless you registered the manufacturers warranty or a store warranty, they're not going to be able to look up your address. Even if you did register for a warranty or extra insurance, they're not really going to be able to pull up any of your info because they won't have any other valid credentials other than the SN.
No, unless the original seller keeps a registry of serials and the buyers address.
Even if the seller did, for some reason, it wouldn't be 100% legal for him to just give out confidential customer information like that unless the customer signed a form giving the seller their express consent to do so.

I appreciate your answer. I am assuming the SN is behind the TV, hence why I am asking all this. If they can't look me up without any extra info, then that answers my question. But yeah I did not physically sign up for any warranty. I am just new to these things and was wondering if my life could be ruined by some silly number on the back of the TV or what not. Thanks
the last person that gave me a used TV gave it to me with the serial number
i tracked him down 2 years later and found that he had since been married and had a 2 month old son
i kidnapped the son and tied his wife up in his basement
when he came home, he was greeted by my mess of ketchup that i had thrown everywhere in the house (i had bought 10 large bottles of ketchup in preparation)
he also saw my ketchup-soaked note saying that he would not see his son alive again if he didnt put all his funds into stocks
i dont know if he did or not, but his son was put up for adoption by yours truly
remember kids, serial numbers are wicked tools for wicked people

The guy got drone bombed the next day. I picked through the debris of his house and got my money back and then some.
I doubt SN's can be used to track anyone down
If the TV's three years old any registry information relating to the SN would've been decached
