this is so retarded [editline]27th May 2014[/editline] and people out there will actually buy these
"We don't feel like we lived up to people's expectations with BATTLEFIELD 4. Hey frank, what was people's expectations of BATTLEFIELD 4?" "Battlepacks as microtransactions." "Then that's next on the agenda, maybe people will see that we actually care about them."
EA has always thrown in that option for players to buy things they don't want to work for. You can unlock everything in Skate 3 via DLC for like $10. All levels and whatnot if you don't want to actually earn things yourself. So what, this doesn't really impact much, does it?
I was wondering how long this would take.
honestly surprised it wasn't like that from the beginning
A dollar will get you 3 scopes for guns you don't use, a Camo that looks ugly, and a silencer that's just like the one you already have but this one is russian. The *Pack system worked for Mass Effect 3 because the unlocks were completely different guns or entirely different classes, so there was reason to try and grind for them, in BF4 it's just a grab-bag of who cares because DICE doesn't want people to think you can buy better gun/unlocks, even though people think that already because some of the guns in the DLC are a straight upgrade. BF3's DLC weapons were mostly on par with the base game, with about two exceptions (AUG, JNG-90) but the BF4 DLC has just been a clusterfuck of weapons that outclass Vanilla completely.
