• Storm Troopers are basically Space Nazis right?

So I've been thinking, Star Wars is somewhat like WW2 in some ways. Storm Troopers and the darkside were like the Axis, and kinda looked like a nazi SS in a way. Anyone else agree? Also as a side note, Storm Troopers even had their own zombies called Death Troopers or something. I want zombie ostriches now.
Wasn't it intentional?
It probably was, Alderaan was like some form of Holocaust, but who would be hitler? Palpatine or Vader? And weren't the Storm Troopers left over clones from the Clone Wars or something?
the main colors of the empire are red, white, and black. yes, it was a reference to the nazis.

The numbers were supplemented later on by voulenteers, conscripts and enforced people.
And weren't the Storm Troopers left over clones from the Clone Wars or something?
At the start of the Empire there were just Clones, then the Empire opened up the gates allowing in more soldiers other than the Clones. The Clones themselves didn't like many of the new diverse soldiers because many of them weren't up to the Clone standard. They were called Clone Stormtroopers. There was a battle in Battlefront II where Stormtroopers had to fight against Clonetroopers after the Empire found out about an uprising using the DNA of the original Jango and loads of Clone Wars era troopers were made to fight the Empire and overthrow Sidious. Boba Fett aided in the battle and helped the Stormtroopers win.
Part if The Empire is Nazis yeah.

A friend of mine wrote a paper on just this topic, if I can get ahold of it,I'll letyou take a look. Also hi Adam, long time no see :v:
Lucas stated many, MANY times that yes' the Empire was a reference to the Third Reich, Stormtroopers are named after actual stormtroopers, and Imperial uniforms and colors are references to Nazi uniforms. It's very intentional.
Man which one was it? I hope they make an Era mod that allows that battle to happen anywhere.
It was the mission on Kamino.
Jedis are samurai in space.

Why don't they make a game about the Deathtroopers / Zombie Storm troopers?
The empire are kind of the good guys, kind of not. On one hand you have the whole darkside shit, on the other hand you have a massive faction that runs everything and is all inclusive.
What rock have you been living under? This has been known for a long time.
What rock have you been living under? This has been known for a long time.
Just wanted to make sure, also I'm actually living under this thing called a ceiling and a roof.
The only clone troopers to really exist in the Empire era was the 501st and they were stationed on the Death Star and all died there. RIP 501st. :saddowns:
In Episode IV I think some of the storm troopers were using German WW2 weapons such as an MG 42. Obviously in the canon they wouldn't use weapons from a world which didn't exist to them (but the actors needed something to carry), but that could be a further allusion to the Nazi Germany link.

And then yes, there were the Assault Battalions of WWI. Even for the space battles, Lucas listened to old war radio chatter from fighter pilots to help with some of the writing for those sequences.

Have you ever seen a female, or non-hunanoid Imperial in anything canon? And no, the books and games aren't canon.
I never really liked star trek tbh
Here's something else. . .you ever notice how the Ferengii from Star Trek are basically SpaceJews? I mean. . .exaggeratedly large facial feature (in this case, ears), and a culture built entirely around swindling, and the acquisition of wealth. . . .the fuck, Rick Berman. . .
Jedis are samurai in space.
Jedis are supersand with glowy swords stolen from ancient pro yoloswag samurai who had much of weed and were black, madeinUSMlol.
All inclusive? Have you ever seen a female, or non-hunanoid Imperial in anything canon? And no, the books and games aren't canon.
Well, the comics have several. Assuming those aren't canon either, there's no telling whether or not certain stormtroopers and royal guards are women in the movies.
Well, the comics have several. Assuming those aren't canon either, there's no telling whether or not certain stormtroopers and royal guards are women in the movies.
Comics are Expanded Universe. Not canon.
Comics are Expanded Universe. Not canon.
Put that expanded universe into a cannon and fire it off into the depths of spacious space. 4/20 dankdank
Of course they're space Nazi, they have British accents. If movies have taught me anything, it's that all Nazis have British accents.
