• In-car stereo problem pertaining to a half-ejecting CD player

So, recently my stereo has started to only half-eject CDs. (More like 1/8th eject, it only puts them about thumbtip out) Anyways, this wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have to pull them out, which then scratches the disk. It also tries to take the CD back when I take it out, which I'm guessing is caused by the fact it is already 7/8ths in to the CD player already. I read all over to make sure it's alright to post non-computer questions here, and I couldn't find anything saying it's not okay, so here I am, asking for Facepunch to save me yet again. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like one of the belts for the slot loading mechanism is worn out. If that's the case, it's a lot easier to replace the whole unit.

OR of it's a OEM one from the factory then get it repaired, but brace yourself for the fuckhuge repair bill. [editline]14th February 2011[/editline] ninja'd
Shit. That's what I was hoping I wasn't going to hear, but I expected it. It's a pretty old stereo, but it's still really nice, not to mention a new stereo would run ~140 bucks. I might just get an IPBUS to RCA connects and just use my iPod from now on.
