I'm sure most of you hear of woot.com, but how many actually keep up with it. Just incase most of you don't, I thought I'd post this pretty good deal.
Asus eee 900, $169

Specs
Asus EEEPC900A-WFBB01 Netbook
1.6GHz Atom Processor
8.9” LCD
1GB DDR2,
4GB SSD and Linux
I can get that for like 100$ in a local mall.
What was the normal price?
Although that is a pretty sweet deal for a netbook.

Really? If it's at a cell phone store you have to get a monthly contract that will end up costing you over a grand in a year.
I'll be needing a laptop for college, I'll be using photoshop and stuff, would this be suitable? The screen is a tad small but I would be only using it for simple things that I can't use my main PC for so that's not a big concern.
Nevermind, 4gb of space. :v: Hell naw.
Holy shit only 4 gb of space?
[editline]11:45AM[/editline]
You might want to buy a external HDD after buying this :v:
Holy shit only 4 gb of space?
It's an SSD, it wasn't made for windows. Though you can easily use nlite and fit XP on there.
My Acer Aspire one has a 160GB HDD.

True. But still, 4gb :v:
True. But still, 4gb :v:
It was one of Asus' first netbooks. :v:
Plus, for $169 there isn't much to complain about. Haha.

You don't even need nLite. My XP install only takes 3GB on my 901's 4GB SSD.

Service Pack 2?

Yeah, I can see your point.
Yeah, I can see your point.
If I had one I would just nLite a small version of XP onto it and keep ventrilo and some chat applications on it. Maybe some music and some emulators. They are nice little portable devices.
Or you could turn that bitch into a little command central for a big ass stero system/entertainment system in your house. That' be pretty fucking cool.
My Acer Aspire one has a 160GB HDD.
I'd rather spend the extra $100-$200 getting a proper netbook with a better processor, longer battery life, larger screen, a real hard-drive that you can actually use, and windows XP.
This netbook is just ancient. This model also only goes for about $20-$40 more on other retail outlets, IF they carry them.
I might just get one.
My asus eeepc 1005HA has a 160GB HDD :smug::smug:
My asus eeepc 1000 has a 40gb SSD :smug:
To bad it sucks :frown:
It's cheap, and it's good for using the internet. I should be able to remotely access my websites ftps and shit, so it looks good to me.
My Acer Aspire one has a 160GB HDD.
:cawg:
I got one of these back in January for $300.
I was hoping it had an Atom CPU, but Target didn't label it as an Eee 900, and it didn't say what model it was on the box. Oh well. :v:
