.net 4.0 installer crashes

I don't understand this fucking installer for this framework.

On the web installer and the standalone, the program keeps crashing out after the extraction of files has occurred.

I am running Windows XP SP3, using the x86 package. Used both the web installer and standalone.
I meet all of the requirements, and succeed by far.

Any ideas?? I know there was some problems with the 4.0 installer working... maybe there is a better insight somewhere within this forum?

Did you check the hashes maybe?
