• Missing folder/files from External Harddrive.

I have a bit of a problem here. I recently upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7; saving all of my steam files, my pictures, music MP3 files into my harddrive and I'm all set. However, when I had opened up my external harddrive I noticed that all of my files were still where they belong. Such as my old pictures, music, steam files, etc. Now less than a month later without using the external I decide to open it up and I noticed that all of my folders are missing. With the odd exception of my Steam folder. So then I decide to go to 'search' and type in the folder name - which pops up but when I click on it, it says it might be moved to another location, the directory could not be found. Does anyone know how to relocate missing folders or files from my harddrive? I'm over 100% sure I had put them into my harddrive but for some odd reason I cannot find them at all. Much appreciated.
1. Make sure they aren't hidden. Go to tools> Folder Options and check the button to show hidden folders. 2. Are you sure you copied them back to your hard drive and didn't move them? There's a big different between the 2 3. There is a possibility you deleted them. 4. There is also a possibility that a virus hid on your external hard drive and might have wiped/hid the folders. Run a virus scan on your entire computer to double check.

[editline]05:47AM[/editline] This is what it shows when I try to open a folder that was formerly from my K (External Harddrive): It apparantly appears in the search engine, located in the K directory, but it isn't...accessible:
