How hackers should be handled in any game, really. Yeah it sucks for hackers who genuinely learn their lesson afterwards but I'd rather be overly harsh on cheaters who could redeem themselves than not harsh enough on cheaters who'd just go back to screwing with people once their bans expire.
Now if they could actually detect them reliably enough.
yea I dont even know why ubisoft did the whole strike dealio. you arent going to catch normal players with an anti-cheat unless its from a shitty f2p game. you're only going to catch hackers, who download hacks to cheat at the game. there should be no remorse for people like that.
Now if they could actually detect them reliably enough.
Its coming. Right now its mostly community reports
Hackers already know that they're breaking the rules anyway. Instilling a permanent ban on them should always be an enforced guideline in any multiplayer game.
People have the capacity to change. This is why we don't kill people IRL for stealing bread.
I remember, at release it was only a cooldown of 3 days if you cheated. And that's it. No ban or anything like that. The change came 1 or 2 weeks later where you actually get banned.
People have the capacity to change.
