I'm still extremely skeptical about this. It really looks like a downgraded Skyrim combined with a casual MMO. [editline]Edit:[/editline] Let's not forget now the amount of infinite invincible NPCs everywhere.
I was very apprehensive when this was announced. "People just want to explore skyrim with their bros, not an MMO" But if you look at it like an MMO that happens to be set in the elder scrolls universe, not an Elder Scrolls game that happens to be an MMO, it looks pretty promising.
Watched the gameplay when they livestreamed it at QuakeCon, the combat looks really dull and the first person is pretty much fan service and useless.
Those bow animations are horrendous.

Can't really say I have any hope in this right now as nothing they've shown looks impressive at all. MMOs are probably the most stale genre right now IMO they really need to up their game.
this looks better than I expected
I don't like the all the MMO trappings that come with this Elder Scrolls. Example: First-person aiming isn't actually aiming. Several times throughout the Twitch VOD he uses a bow, MISSES with his reticle and it still registers a hit... Seems it uses a targeting system in first-person as well.. Another thing I noticed is that the world design feels like EVERY other MMO. One large mesh essentially. Very bland landscape. That fog is also horrible. Lack of turning animations on every character model. The list goes on.
I'd rather just have an elder scrolls game with co-op
First person mode yet it still uses targeting based system? meeeeeeh
First person mode yet it still uses targeting based system? meeeeeeh
Why can't they have it work similar to something like Mortal Online? It wasn't perfect but it was definitely a solution to a problem.

Very skeptical too; the mouse controls look very stiff...
I like how Bethesda releases a TES spinoff game in the 90s and adds MP to test the idea of multiplay in elder scrolls, and yet they won't do that in their games now.
