Hi, I accidentally replaced explorer.exe using a linux distro and now I'm stuck without a GUI and I have to open applications using the task manager. If anybody has a copy of explorer.exe (C:\windows\explorer.exe) 32bit from win7 could you please send it to me?

Fun fact, it says I'm running vista because I'm on my other pc
I would help ya, but I am on 64 bit. If no one can get it to you before I can get to my laptop, I'll give it to you then.

Did it before, it's surprisingly easy if you are using an other OS.

That's accidental, it didn't ask for confirmation :v:

Oh yeah, I'm sorry
So you typed out the command to remove explorer.exe, how in the fuck is that accidental?!?
So you typed out the command to remove explorer.exe, how in the fuck is that accidental?!?
it happens sometimes when I sneeze and hit my head on the keyboard.
OP should be highlighted.
Did it go along the lines of "Hey lets see if this works! Oh shit."?
I can understand deleting it, I can't understand why you would delete it without having a backup
Couldn't you just copy it off your install media?

I bet he deleted that one too. :v:
Couldn't you just copy it off your install media?
I accidentally threw the CD in the garbage disposal.
Yeah, I sneezed that time too.

Wow, at least that wasn't as bad as that one time where I slipped and fell on my keyboard and "rm -rf /" was accidentally entered in the terminal.

Yeah typo, meant to include that.

I guess you Windows users aren't used to having computers do things that you tell them to.

Sounds like a sexuality thing.
Sounds like a sexuality thing.
Pretty much. When I told my dad to install Linux on his pc.. you should have seen his expression.

One time my dad came home early and my linux workstation had to hide in the closet.
I'm confused, is it possible to copy files using command prompt? Because I don't see how it'd be possible to copy the new explorer.exe to where it belongs otherwise.
E: Oh wait, nevermind, you can probably do it from another PC.

Actually, you can take control of the windows folder and replace stuff if needed, for example installing a custom explorer.exe.

It's probably not a good idea to take control of the whole Windows folder.
