I have a Q6600 quad at stock 2.4GHz. Will it bottleneck my GPU? If I OC'd my Q6600 would it fix the bottleneck if I had one?
Maybe. I'm not sure. Since its a quad core I would doubt it.
I've read articles where they it does and where they say it doesn't, I would hope some one on Facepunch would know the answer.
It's possible, bot not likely. However you might want to invest in a better processor, they aren't ridiculously expensive, especially when you consider the 470's price.
Overclock to 3.oghz.
Unless you have the ASUS P5NE-SLI... :argh:
I've got a P5b-VM SE Asus and I don't really know how to over clock with it.
Here's a thread I made in 2008. http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=601457 Don't bother thinking about bottlenecking.

That thing's chipset was notorious for sucking massive cock when overclocking a Q6600. [editline]11:47AM[/editline] Oops. Posting from my girlfriend's house.
