• Can 2 operating systems use the same drive for a pagefile?

To keep this simple, I have 2 OS's (Windows 7 & Windows 8) and due to space limits on their own partitions I wish to set them to use my second hard disk as a pagefile. The problem with this is that they would both need to use the same pagefile. Would this cause any problems? I don't want to hear any flak about my choice of using both OS's I am in the process of transitioning from Windows 7 to Windows 8 fully but until then I'd like to keep them both around.
I've never head of anyone trying that, so just go for it and see what happens. Also, if you have more than 4GB of ram you could probably turn off the pagefile for the OS you use the least.
Seems to work fine, I made sure to make the pagefile the same size on each OS. That way it's not causing severe fragmentation or other problems.
As long as both operating systems use the same pagefile scheme and both aren't using it at the same time, it's fine. Linux can use any swap partition on any drive connected to the system.
