Where should I start? What kind of motorcycle is best suited for beginners? Where is the best place to learn how to ride them?
About how much is insurance? How viable are they for freeway riding? Best kind of riding gear? So many questions.
It's a poor investment in terms of monetary returns but rocks anyway. Do it
Oh and I don't know the laws in your country/state but I would stick with a 125 or 250 for the first year or so. It's easy enough to kill yourself on a 125, you don't need a any help from a 600.
It's super cheap.
It'll do what ever your national speed limit is fine.
Gear specifics hardly matter it's not hard to find jackets, trousers and boots which keep your skin vaguely attached to your body. Past that if you hit anything at any serious speed your clothing will only help mop the blood up, helmet is the most crucial thing. find a website which publishes independent crash data on them. more expensive is not always better for safety; but nearly always is for comfort and looks.
Go for a cheap bike, you'll probably crash a lot.
Freeway riding is good, just don't get turned into a human pizza.
if you don't consider yourself a safe driver and are planning on using it often don't go for it
motorcycles can be extremely dangerous
I'll just make the point now, Ive been riding for 2 years now and am yet to fall off or crash.
Get a cheap one.
And prepare to risk your life every time you ride it.
You risk your life walking down the stairs.
A Honda CBR 125 or Kawasaki Ninja, those are popular for beginners

Fucking sold, Ima go pick up chicks now.
Oh yeah I almost forgot to add this deal clincher in, when you have a babe as a pillion passenger you get your back warmed by their tits. So hurry up, get your whip and get the bitches on the back.
4-stroke 250 is best to learn on, and make sure you don't get a nice looking bike because as a learner you WILL drop it. A lot. Get a full helmet, not open face. You don't want to fall on your face. And always wear gloves unless you like hairy palms (skin grafts).
