Wasn't sure if this was a good thread for technical support, so I put it here.
Now, for those of you who use FRAPS and record high definition videos, You'll know the uncompressed video files can get rather massive. When I record gameplay, the files get broken up into 3 minute videos, each one being about 3 gb in size. This massive size casues issues with playback and video editing. Seems when I compile videos, the editor sort of misses stuff in the final version, seems that the raw files stop loading during the compile process, or fall behind.
My question is, is there a program I could use to cut up these uncompressed files into multiple, smaller files?
You could possibly manually cut it up in your preferred video editor, as for an automatic one, I've got no clue. I personally use Camtasia for anything like that. Nice small files.
Also, Welcome to SlowPunch, home of extremely slow loading images.
I converted mine with SUPER, which took a nearly 4 GB video, and compressed it down to 300 MB (it was in 720p). They are far more manageable that way. You lose some quality because you reencode them twice though.
