Frustratingly hard? I guess vermintide 2 is the dark souls of the L4D genre. It says in the article they put the game on the easiest mode and were struggling lmao.
The game is ridiculously easy compared to the first one. There are so many healing items on recruit the only way you'd die is if you go into hordes and just mash attack all day.

Some of the new bosses can fuck you up swift as, particularly the Spawn, and apparently there's 3 more still to come. Admittedly though, I've only managed to play with pubbies so that's probably like, 90% of the issue right there :v:
Someone on reddit summed up my feelings pretty nicely, the chance of you fucking up during a game comparing V1 to V2 changed from a constantly shifting sliding scale to a more binary one. In V1 you could be struggling but pull yourself back from the brink, and even if you were doing well it was possible for shit to hit the fan, but still come back from it, pressure varied a lot and healing was always a blessing even with blust and regrowth. In V2 you're either facerolling or getting shit on, nothing inbetween. And they throw so much healing at you you're always topped up, even if it's grey health, there's no pressure. I think changing game directors was a bad mistake. I dunno if Livam was forced out against his wishes or he just left because he lost his chance at managing the project and wasn't happy with where it was going. The game design is all over the place. It's vermintide 1 with extras, but it doesn't feel like they thought a whole lot about the extras they threw in.
