I have never seen a Star Trek series, where to start?

Question is pretty much the thread title. I have never seen a series of Star Trek, and I am willing to buy an entire season right now to download/watch on iTunes. Which one is the best/where should i start?

I mean for you to just buy the entire series on an impulse like that.

Don't get me wrong, I love the original series of Star Trek. (Especially the remastered versions.)

If it turns out [i]you[/i] don't like it though, then you'd have wasted quite a bit of cash.

Star Trek: The Next Generation. The first two or three seasons are rough, but after that is pretty damn good. Also watch the blu-rays for the original series with the enhanced special effects.

If you end up liking both series, then watch Voyager and Deep Space Nine in that order. Enterprise isn't all that good, but watch it after everything else if your interested enough.

If you like star trek I would recommend Babylon 5 first season is OK but it really gets great after it.
