Pffft, I called it.
was waiting for it, maybe i'll start playing it again then
Pffft, I called it.
Well done :)
Yeah not surprising. The MMO market is really locked down tight. Even new combat systems don't make a difference. [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] At least I'll have founder status
Cool, free porn
Well done :)
Thanks. At last I'll be able to play the real stuff and leave these silly russian private servers forever.

There'd be like a 7km^2 city and it'd have 5 npcs in it, so if you have to walk between them you could use up like 2 hours of gameplay doing an introduction quest. I get that pay to play MMOs really want to pad gameplay so you'll have to play longer to finish it (looking at you, world of warcraft) but honestly it was too painful for me to even continue playing the tutorial

Combat was a good bit of fun but everything that wasn't combat just felt so shitty, especially in comparison to other MMOs.
Atleast it seems like it's how a free to play should be. According to what he's promising atleast.
I might actually play it. I started a seven day trial a few months ago, created a character, played for an hour, and went "Nope." I certainly wouldn't buy it and I certainly wouldn't subscribe to it, at least not from what I've seen.
Instead of Free-to-play, they should go with GW2 and TSW's model, unless they intend to do it right like Aion NA's version. So far, I haven't seen any others that beat those three in making the right decisions for their game.
By subscribing to elite status, you will receive great benefits, such as: One flaming halo Thirty of each of the 4 NPC summon scrolls One hour boosts for each XP, gold and reputation, refreshed daily Ten crate keys One village atlas Increased maximum simultaneous listings on the Broker (50) Lower taxes for listing and selling items on the broker Elite mount(TBD) Double your daily quest limit Store discount on selected items throughout the En Masse store
Someone who is familiar with this game I'd like to hear how big difference will this make for f2p and elite players

Some MMOs (like Tera/RaiderZ/Vindictus) are incorporating action into their combat systems and going back and playing a game like WoW after that just feels painful
What, there's a quest limit? That seems odd.
Someone who is familiar with this game I'd like to hear how big difference will this make for f2p and elite players
Looks fairly significant but not really any worse than any other P2W MMO, I mean any form of mount will cut down the heavily padded walk times but I'm assuming you can get a mount later. I imagine you probably won't really need to auction off more than 50 things at once, although the taxes could hurt? The quest limit thing sounds like it could be annoying too but to be honest half of this stuff you can't really tell how bad it is unless they announce what the limits/taxes/boosts are going to be
Ha. This is what happens to every subscription based game.
What, there's a quest limit? That seems odd.
Only on daily quests, you know those silly grindy ones where you need to hunt x or deliver x. Also article only mentions En Masse who are the US publisher for Tera, so for those curious EU is also going F2P under Frogster (who are greedy cunts who know how to run p2w mmos).
I've been wanting to try this at some point, looks like now I finally can.
Only on daily quests, you know those silly grindy ones where you need to hunt x or deliver x.
I warned you about this, Reag.
I warned you about this, Reag.
Oh I knew it would happen eventually, I wasn't bothered though. Its still a fun game when you get a group of friends together and rush through an instance.
I actually really liked this game, got it from Best Buy, but it never let me redeem my exclusive retail shit, so yeah, fuck. It's also like 35 fucking gigs
Oh I knew it would happen eventually, I wasn't bothered though. Its still a fun game when you get a group of friends together and rush through an instance.
Yup, it's a fun game you first got to buy and then pay every month to play it.
Yup, it's a fun game you first got to buy and then pay every month to play it.
That sarcasm really wasn't needed.
That sarcasm really wasn't needed.
But it was, a lot of silly people fell for this kind of scam once again.
I downloaded the game for the free trial... RIP my internet modem
3 fucking discs to install. THREE. FUCKING DISCS. I pray I can find them before it launches, I do NOT want to wait eternity and 3 days to download it. On the upside: I get to go back to my bunnyloli with a ridiculously disproportionate sword. Oh boy.
But it was, a lot of silly people fell for this kind of scam once again.
How the hell was it a scam, we paid for the game, we got the game, we paid the small subscription it had for monthly play time. We got the product we paid for and we knew there was a subscription. Go learn the definition of scam before you start throwing that word around.
"daily quest" what hahaha
I was invited to closed alpha/beta tests of this, and (back then) half of this game is/was in korean and I heard that they censored a lot of things in the last few months before the release, but I can not confirm this as I stopped playing...
