I really hope it doesn't have regenerating health.
:l Surely they can't be serious.
If it's not coming to the PC then why does the contract between Bungie and Activison say a PC version is a requirement. And Bungie's COO saying....
“We would absolutely love to be on the PC. If you talk to the people upstairs, we play it on all platforms. So, stay tuned.”
We all know Destiny is not coming to the PC along side the 360/PS3 release, but I still think Destiny will see a PC release in the future.

That statement seemed very vague in saying anything about Destiny not being on PC. It just seem to say Halo reached out to try new things like using a controller and not a keyboard and mouse. I don't see how this relates to Destiny not being on PC.
I just read the article, his statement doesn't say anything about no Destiny on PC.
Hardly surprised by this to be honest.
Damn it Bungie, I had so much hope they come back to us, I mean think about Halo:CE and how big it was on PC. Oh well.
Because things change.
Find me an Activision published game that is Multi-platform and hasn't been on the PC. It's a requirement in all their contracts.
I really hope it doesn't have regenerating health.
It all depends on how it works; if it's the stupid kind where your health quickly regenerates if you don't get hit for a short while, that's bad. However, if you have regenerating shields and a bar of non-regenerating health under it, like Mass Effect and the very first Halo, that's a decent compromise; if you get hurt badly, you can still recover somewhat but you won't be able to take as much damage the next time you fight. Also, there's another kind used in some games that is regenerating health which regenerates gradually, meaning it takes a minute or two to get back into your shot-taking groove, as opposed to just hiding somewhere and waiting a few seconds to regrow your face. Out of those types I have to say I prefer the Shields + Health model of Regenerating Health, since you retain a similar quick recovery whilst also retaining the consequences of getting hit too much. But even then, it needs to be done just right to stay great; the delay before regen activation has to be just right, and the size of your max shields in comparison to your max health needs to be correctly balanced too. There is also the ancient and sacred iteration of health that, whilst it isn't technically regen, it aids in recovery and consequence equally. That's right gentlemen, I speak of the eldritch power of Armour; which would reduce the damage inflicted on your main health, yet would decrease in effectiveness and durability as you took more hits. The truly oldschool shooters like Doom, Quake, Serious Sam, Duke3D and Half-Life had this form of health system, and they worked pretty damn well for their time, I think. So yeah, those are a few ways health regeneration can be done right, as well as one ancient health system that seems to have been lost to the mists of time in the modern shooter scene.
Icarly 1 and 2. Also Disney Skate Adventure.
why does PC always miss out :(
It's a silly assumption that all Activision published games that goes multiplatform includes the PC as well.
It's funny because if Halo was on PC I'd have bought each and ever one of those motherfuckers. Bungie dude, a lot of us still use keyboard and mouse, and some of us would even like to play your games without having to go over to a console peasants I mean friends house to play them.
When Dev's say they won't be releasing a game on PC I usually translate that into "No thanks we don't like additional sales, more consumer freedoms or a better online experience." Bungie's loss really.
comeon i just want it on pc pleeeease
Bad start to your game, Bungie.
Until Bungie officially confirms or denies Destiny's fate on the PC, I will continue to believe what the contract said, because everything that was on the contract has so far been legit.
noo Jason don't say that :(
Oh its all right, they won't be getting my money this time, just like how they didn't get my money when they released Halo 3, Halo ODST and Halo 4 on an inferior platform.
Oh its all right, they won't be getting my money this time, just like how they didn't get my money when they released Halo 3, Halo ODST and Halo 4 on an inferior platform.
Halo 4 wasn't made by Bungie. And Halo 3 was beautiful for it's time, as the Xbox 360 still had some life in it then as far as hardware standards.
We didn't need them anyway. *Tear rolls down cheek*
Halo 4 wasn't made by Bungie. And Halo 3 was beautiful for it's time, as the Xbox 360 still had some life in it then as far as hardware standards.
Shit controls tho. [editline]17th February 2013[/editline] And delicious 720p up-scaling.
Find me an Activision published game that is Multi-platform and hasn't been on the PC. It's a requirement in all their contracts.
Most of the entries in the Guitar Hero licence, Call of Duty 3, Skylander giants, Any Tony Hawk game after Underground 2...
I read somewhere that this game have's Always Online DRM if so that's bad
I read somewhere that this game have's Always Online DRM if so that's bad
It's not always online DRM, the game is an Online game. It's a Shared world shooter, meaning you need to be online to collect the data of a game that always changes and adapts to the players around it. [editline]17th February 2013[/editline]
Most of the entries in the Guitar Hero licence, Call of Duty 3, Skylander giants, Any Tony Hawk game after Underground 2...
Ok so I handful of titles, compared the hundreds of games. Bungie or Activision did not confirm or deny Destiny on the PC, and this article doesn't change what the contract says..
I've never even heard of the game [editline]17th February 2013[/editline]
Most of the entries in the Guitar Hero licence, Call of Duty 3, Skylander giants, Any Tony Hawk game after Underground 2...
I actually have American Wasteland on PC. Project 8 was the first without a PC release
Ok so I handful of titles, compared the hundreds of games. Bungie or Activision did not confirm or deny Destiny on the PC, and this article doesn't change what the contract says..
You keep mentioning the contract like the first Destiny game is guaranteed to come out on PC yet I don't see it anywhere on the contract saying it will for the first game.
You keep mentioning the contract like the first Destiny game is guaranteed to come out on PC yet I don't see it anywhere on the contract saying it will for the first game.
I'm not speaking of the first game, i'm speaking of the Destiny Franchise.
